Her dedication to designing and marketing products for the U.S. consumer while providing honest work for marginalized populations is beyond admirable. Jane does an incredible job of bringing the reader along her own personal journey. You will find her describing a detailed scene where she learns how hard it is to sew denim, and a more stark reality about who is sewing denim on the clothes we wear. Her experiences become your experiences and her perspective will become your perspective. I not only enjoy reading these passages for myself, but also immediately obtained a copy for my 15-year old daughter. Her generation needs to be educated on this today as they can truly bring the change we want to see.
Really love Jane's story and the practicality of her message. It can feel so difficult to make a dent with problems that tough our hearts - but every person has the power to make impact with very simple daily decisions. I'll be sharing this book with friends! :)
